Lansing, MI— The Mid-Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross was presented with a donation of $600 from Dewitt Cub Scout Pack 502 for disaster relief.
The Annual Year End Ceremony/Picnic was held on Thursday, May 20th at Riverside Park in downtown Dewitt. The Cub Scouts raised the money at a cake auction that was held in February. The boys wanted to keep the donation local and almost unanimously voted for the Red Cross as the recipient.
Mark Reisig, 502’s Cubmaster, presented the check to Alison Bono. “We are always amazed at the generosity of the American people and especially delighted to see children and youth dedicated to helping others during catastrophic times. We applaud Pack 502 for their hard work and generosity!” said Bono.
