Diversity Philosophy
The Mid-Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross firmly embraces the belief that the Mid-Michigan Chapter should both serve and represent its community. Toward this end, the Chapter will continuously develop the cultural sensitivity of its staff and volunteers, and will develop the necessary human resources throughout the community such that the Chapter is constantly both aware of all segments of the community and viewed as responsive by those segments of the community.
200 times a day, Red Cross volunteers help a family who lost everything in a house fire or other disaster.
21,000 times a day, someone receives a blood transfusion from a Red Cross donor.
Every 60 seconds, the mission of the Red Cross has benefited 250 people.
